I’ll be putting them online for all to see, possibly with a photograph I took at your session or wedding.

Introducing PHOTOBOOTHS! ~ Wedding & Event Photo Booths in Lincoln, Nebraska

I have a fun announcement! Well actually, three announcements. First, my handsome husband Justin is making his blog debut! Secondly, this is my dancing-in-the-blog debut. (Come to think of it, neither Justin OR I have danced on the blog before, but that’s beside the point.)

Matt & Melanie’s Wedding! Wedding Photographer in Lincoln, Nebraska

I’m sure it’s just my imagination telling me that everyone is concerned about this, but maybe you’ve wondered…why do I not blog as many weddings as I shoot? Where are all the wedding photos I’ve taken? A lot of them are over on my Facebook page, but not many get blogged. The very simple reason is that it takes me a very long time to create a wedding blog post! Even longer than it takes to design an album. Seriously. It’s much easier to pick out my favorite 150 photos and put them all in a Facebook album for all to see. But a blog post is more curated, not to mention designed, watermarked, resized, reordered… So that is the honest truth why there aren’t as many weddings blogged here as, say, engagement shoots. So I hope you understand…and I will get better this year, I promise!

But without further adieu, today’s blog IS a wedding. The wedding of a friend of mine, Melanie, and her husband Matt. They’ve been married for a good six or seven months now (which shows you my lag time). I was truly blessed to be part of Matt and Melanie’s day. There was an inordinate amount of joy and happiness all around, from the bride (who was smiling so much I’m sure her face was aching just a few hours into the day) to the thrilled husband, to the very proud and happy families. What a beautiful day. It was awfully hot outside, as it tends to be in July in Nebraska, but these two were troopers as we drove around Lincoln! I hope you’re able to share a little bit of their joy!
