Remember Parker (my brother in law) and the lovely Lisa from their shoot last winter? I am proud and happy to report that Parker and Lisa are now ENGAGED to be married, and will be tying the knot this July! So the backstory behind these photos: my husband’s family had already planned to be in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico on Thanksgiving, to celebrate his grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary. So Parker and Lisa wanted to make use of the gorgeous beach location, and asked me to take their engagement photos near our resort.
The evening was perfect. The sun was veiled behind a sheer layer of clouds, softening the already-glowing evening light and evening out the shadows. This was a tricky shoot for technical reasons (I’ve never shot portraits in that particular kind of hazy + reflective light!). But the three of us had a blast splashing around in the small tide. I’m so happy to be welcoming Lisa into our family, and I can’t wait to stand up for them at their wedding this summer!
