I’m SO excited to share this shoot with you! This was a truly magical shoot. Everything fell into place. The location, the light (oh the light) and the weather were all uncannily perfect, full of golden-hour fairy dust. I’ve known Christina as an acquaintance for a long time, but after a lucky encounter at the grocery store, we reconnected and she asked me to be her and Jake’s wedding photographer! So very cool. Their engagement shoot was at a special place: Jake’s family farm, which has been in their family for a very long time! We only had a short time to schedule the shoot while he was back in Nebraska, having commitments to serve in Afghanistan as a Marine. He was only back in town for a couple of weeks before he had to return overseas. I am so grateful for all that they are both sacrificing. Christina and Jake are such a kind and sincere people — I am so honored to be part of their beautiful love story, and I look forward to their May wedding!
